Hi, my name is Kelsey Bjorkman. I am a college student from Elk River, Minnesota. This fall I will begin my senior year at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I am majoring in Deaf Culture Studies with an emphasis in Intercultural Studies. This summer I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime. I will be biking from Seattle, Washington, to New York City with a team of nine riders on a trip organized by Venture Expeditions, a non-profit organization based out of Minneapolis. We are riding in order to raise awareness and money to battle human trafficking worldwide through Venture Expeditions’ Just:Hope campaign. Human trafficking is a global problem that can only be defeated if we work together. This summer I am putting another piece in the puzzle to complete the solution for this issue.
