Kelsey Bjorkman
Hi, my name is Kelsey Bjorkman. I am a college student from Elk River, Minnesota. This fall I will begin my senior year at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I am majoring in Deaf Culture Studies with an emphasis in Intercultural Studies. This summer I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime. I will be biking from Seattle, Washington, to New York City with a team of nine riders on a trip organized by Venture Expeditions, a non-profit organization based out of Minneapolis. We are riding in order to raise awareness and money to battle human trafficking worldwide through Venture Expeditions’ Just:Hope campaign. An entire itinerary of the trip as well as more information about Venture Expeditions with the town we will bike through and be stopping in can be found at www.ventureexpeditions.org.
Human trafficking is a global problem that can only be defeated if we work together. This summer I am putting another piece in the puzzle to complete the solution for this issue. I invite you to follow me on this adventure . I will also be posting weekly updates and photos here as I travel across the United States and more blogs from other riders can be found at the Venture website.
Thank you so much for all your support and assistance.
Kelsey Joy
